Rugby union: Rishworthians hoping for elusive first win

THE nearest Rishworthians have come to a league win this season was a draw at home to West Leeds.

They travel to play those rivals in Yorkshire Two tomorrow hoping to go one better.

It is the first of a series of games this month which Rishworthians need to target if they are to gain points and move off the bottom of Yorkshire Two.

The home side lie three places above Rishworthians, having won four of their games, but there is still confidence in the Copley camp that their season can be turned round.

They name a strong pack with new player coach Lance Hamilton taking up the No 8 position and Tom Clough and Ben Robinson restored to the back row.

Rishworthians will also be hoping that the return of Aaron Canning at fullback will be able help their under pressure backs.
