Rugby union: Vandals check on trio for Goole's visit

HALIFAX Vandals host Goole tomorrow looking to make amends for the thumping they took in October when they travelled with a much-weakened team.

The Warley men were unlucky last week against Aireborough and if things fall their way tomorrow a Yorkshire Three win is not out of the question.

There are some injury concerns. Andy White (knee) will have a late fitness test while Andy Hoyle will take the field if his head wound has healed well enough.

Prop Paul Jowett is struggling with a sore shoulder and he too will have to wait to see if it recovers in time for kick off.

Jamie Richardson is unavailable, which means Liam Blue comes back in. Paul Knapping returns after work commitments and he will look to launch a potent looking backline.

Matt Farrar and Shane Lewis occupy the wing births and the increased competition for places in the backs means Tom Crowther is edged out onto the bench.

The seconds are at home to Halifax and will field plenty of youth plus a splattering of experience.
