(Division One West)

MATHEW Brown scored a late winning try for Park, who stretched the gap between themselves and a Moor side immediately below them in the table to six points.

The visitors trailed on four occasions and went into the last 15 minutes 20-14 behind but their young side finished the stronger.

Park had their hands full trying to contain a very big and strong Emley side, who went 4-0 up when a prop barged over from close range.

Park settled and took the lead when good work from Andy Binns, Lee Brook and Jack White enabled Danny Fearon to touch down and Brook to convert.

Emley pressure paid off when scrum half Michael Long nipped in for a try, converted by John Roebuck, to make it 10-6.

Andy Boocock, Paul Bowen and Mick Williams were putting in big hits and a good move involving Adam Crowther, Adam Barrett and Brook resulted in White levelling the scores with a try in the corner.

When Emley got close to the try line they had the strength to convert their chances, Karl Adams powering over for 14-10, but the visitors would not buckle and when Fearon put Brown in the clear he sent Adam Mills to the corner with a lovely pass.

Emley went 20-14 up when they stretched Park’s line for Oliver Lang to score and Roebuck converted.

Park took over in the closing stages and White and Barrett were involved in a good move completed by the posts by Stead, Brook’s kick levelling the scores.

Alex Wood went clear but was bundled into touch. However, Aidon Dewhirst, Adam Crowther and Fearon set up Brown for the winning try.
