Elland host Eastmoor in their penultimate Division Two fixture, hoping to build on last week’s 19-14 defeat at title-chasing Shaw Cross.
The sides were locked 10-10 at the break and Karl Fairbank’s side had a chance to take the points late in the game, only to be denied by the referee.
“I am getting sick of the good efforts that end up with us getting beat,” said Fairbank.
“The lads gave everything, but it wasn’t enough to get the result.
“We had a chance to win the game; they put the ball down, we picked it up and ran away to score but got pulled back by the ref.
“There was no knock on, but he just blew up a bit too soon, which cost us the points.
“That’s the way it goes.”
Elland will have winger Oliver Fairbank back in harness this weekend, while Tom Harnett and Tom Hall both return.
Full back Dean Avis should be available again after illness, although his deputy - 16 year old Joe Nicholson - caught Fairbank’s eye last weekend.
“Joe did really well, he’s a very promising young player,” said Fairbank.
