The former Halifax half back Andrew Dunemann has been named as the interim coach of NRL outfit Canberra after the Raiders sacked boss David Furner.

Dunemann, who played for Fax in Super League between 1999 and 2002, was assistant to Furner after cutting his coaching teeth with Queensland Cup side Northern Pride.

After leaving the Shay, Dunemann went on to play for Leeds and Salford before returning to Australia.
