France international prop Remi Casty is to join the player drain from Super League to the NRL after signing a two-year contract with Sydney Roosters.
The Catalan Dragons have agreed to release their captain at the end of the season to enable him to link up with former coach Trent Robinson, who moved to the Roosters at the end of last year.
Casty, 28, has made 155 appearances in Super League since making his debut for the Dragons in 2006 and was named in the 2012 Dream Team.
“It’s my career achievement,” Casty said.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do since I started playing rugby.
“I’ve spent eight wonderful seasons at the Catalans Dragons, I’m very proud to have worn this jersey and I really want to thank the club to allow me to take this opportunity.”
