Fun day is just the ticket

Anyone under the age of 16 is being invited to join Halifax RLFC for just £1 on Sunday where they will encounter a huge range of entertainment, live music, refreshments and a cracking game of rugby league.

Our family festival at the Shay Stadium will be providing each junior with a hotdog, drink and packet of sweets completely free with their

£1 ticket. No booking necessary, while (large) stocks last.

The five-a- side zone will open at 1pm, where #ANDYSMANCLUB, The Supporters Trust and more engage supporters in their game stalls.

Meanwhile, local organisation, Young @ Heart will be filling bellies with their Great Halifax Bake-off stall and CCCT’s Blender Bikes go side by side with the free bouncy castles. So join us as we battle Workington Town in our last home game before the semi-finals.

Fax greet Greetland

Greetland All Rounders ARLFC will play host to staff and coaches of Halifax RLFC tomorrow, as the two clubs come together to share knowledge, while their junior teams will be engaged in professional

coaching sessions.

The situation will then be flipped, as Greetland visit the MBI Shay Stadium as our club of the week for the family festival on Sunday. The scheme will allow Halifax to showcase grassroots talent and tens of junior sports people will be able to get a taste of local stardom. Not to mention big discounts and cashback to improve the club’s kit and equipment.

Fax helping to get kids active

Fax community coach Chris O’Connor got kids moving yesterday at Warley Road Primary School along with first team prop forward Mitch Cahalane and second row Adam Tangata. Running physical activities as part of the year 4 PE class, the players put on an interactive treat for the youngsters; many of whom hadn’t had contact with the sport.
