HALIFAX vice captain Jim Gannon has described his return to the Shay as “like coming home.”
The 33 year old Australian, who will make the first competitive appearance of his second spell against Swinton tonight, came to England to play for Fax in 1999 and returned to the club this winter after spells with Huddersfield, who he joined in 2002, Hull KR and Widnes.
“It is like coming home for me,” said Gannon. “I was looking forward to it and it’s been good so far.
“It wasn’t a decision I made for money, I just really wanted to play here again before I retired.
“I enjoyed myself when I was first here and a lot of the people around the club are still the same.
“They deserved to win the comp last year and it would be nice to do that again this season.”
