Leeds winger Ben Jones-Bishop will make his long-awaited return to action when the Rhinos host Widnes in a re-arranged Super League game at Headingley on Monday.
The 24-year-old England Knights winger has not played for Leeds since last October’s Grand Final triumph after he was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism just before Christmas.
However, the player has now been given the all-clear to resume his career having completed his course of treatment and will go straight into the team to face the Vikings.
“It has been a long time coming because it has been a tough six months,” said Jones-Bishop, who scored 23 tries last season.
“However, it is good to be at the end of it now and finally getting back in the team. I am all set now for Monday and can’t wait.
“We are in a tough position at the moment and my job will be to go out there and help the team in anyway I can.”
