Leigh’s Parker calls it quits

Former Bradford, Warrington and Salford forward Rob Parker, who was club captain of Leigh in 2013, has announced his retirement at the age of 32.

Parker enjoyed a successful four-year spell at Bradford, where he won Super League Grand Final medals in 2003 and 2005 and was a member of the Bulls’ team that completed the league and cup double in 2003.

“I am extremely sad to announce my retirement but I feel the time is right for me to call it a day,” Parker said.

“The game has given me so much, with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
