Halifax’s long term injury absentee Iain Morrison will make his comeback in Thursday night’s under 20 fixture at Keighley.
Morrison, the former Hull KR, London and Widnes player, has been sidelined for 12 months after undergoing micro-fracture surgery on his knee.
But the Londoner is finally close to a return, with coach Karl Harrison confirming his date with the Cougars’ second-string.
“Iain is playing on Thursday,” said the former Test prop.
“I’ll be going to over watch him and I think everyone will hope it goes well for him.
“He’s had a horrendous injury and he’s worked exceptionally hard to come back from that.
“He’s probably a month ahead of schedule because of the way he has handled his rehab work.
“A fit Iain Morrison would add a lot to the personnel we have.
“They’re turning into a pretty battle-hardened bunch and having him in there would only help us.”
