X-rays have cleared Halifax’s young centre Anthony Bowman of a broken ankle, although the former Siddal junior will miss the Easter Monday trip to Doncaster (3.30).

Bowman limped off in the closing stages of the Championship leaders’ 60-6 thrashing of Dewsbury after falling awkardly on a treacherous playing surface.

“Anthony’s been for X-rays and there’s nothing broken, but he won’t be playing on Monday,” said boss Karl Harrison.

As a result, hat-trick winger Rob Worrincy - who been expected to be left out - has been handed a reprieve, with the recalled Rikki Sheriffe taking Bowman’s centre spot.

Wayne Reittie will come in on the other flank, with the resurgent Steve Tyrer completing the backline.

Fax are otherwise expected to be largely unchanged, although hooker Karl Ashall and new recruit Luke Adamson are expected to figure in Harrison’s 17 at the Keepmoat Stadium.
