HALIFAX boss Karl Harrison has confirmed his planning for 2013 is already at an advanced stage following the re-signings of Craig Ashall, Lee Paterson and Steve Tyrer.
The trio all signed new deals at the end of last week; Tyrer penning a two year contract and Paterson and Ashall both agreeing single-season extensions.
“My target is to get most of it done before the end of the current season, so we know exactly where we are and what we are looking to bring in for next year,” said Harrison, who is believed to be close to retaining several more members of his current squad.
“We’re building a bit of momentum now and we’re fortunate we’re in a position where we can plan for next year.
“Ashall has been outstanding this season; He was a bit of a punt of a signing, but he’s fitted in well, he’s obviously playing really well and he likes the set up here.
“I think he’s been right up there when I look at the players who came in.
“Adam Robinson’s been excellent as well, but Ashy was signed as a back up hooker and he’s got to the point now where he’s very hard to leave out of the 17.
“Paterson’s been part and parcel of the place for a while now and he deserves another deal; he’s been going really well since he came back from injury at the start of the year.
“Tyrer’s 22 years old, he’s got a lot of Super League experience and I’ll be delighted to see him here for another two years after this.”
