Wayne Reittie believes his long wait for a first team comeback is coming to an end ahead of the Easter programme.
The winger, who has yet to play at the top level in 2013 after suffering horrific facial injuries in an off-field assault, was 18th man as Halifax beat Whitehaven last weekend.
But with three games in 10 days - Thursday’s home date with Dewsbury, the Easter Monday trip to Doncaster and next weekend’s Challenge Cup clash with Oxford - Reittie believes he will finally get a chance.
“There’s a lot of games now, so there should be game time for everybody,” said the former Doncaster player.
“When I get my chance, I’ll try to take it with both hands.
“I can’t wait, I am chomping at the bit now to get back involved.
“I’ve played in the under 20s and while the results weren’t great, the face felt fine, which was all I needed to know.”
