Siddal get toughest of Challenge Cup tests against Toronto

Halifax amateurs Siddal have been dealt the trickiest card in the third round of the Challenge Cup after being paired with League 1 newcomers Toronto Wolfpack.

The big spending Canadians, who are widely expected to blitz League 1 on their way to a place in the Championship in 2018, will become the first transatlantic side to take part in the competition when they play Gareth Greenwood’s side on the weekend of February 25 and 26.

The Wolfpack have a side packed with star names and have strong Halifax connections in their backroom set up; their coach, Paul Rowley, played for Fax, while football manager Brian Noble fulfilled a similar role at the Shay.
