Halifax half backs Gareth Moore and Connor Robinson have signed new contracts with the club.

Moore, who was an ever present in Richard Marshall’s side last season, has become one of the club’s stand out players.

In a season of solid performances from Moore, Halifax fans will look back on two moments of brilliance from the 27-year old.

He produced a last gasp try at Whitehaven to secure a draw in testing conditions while his full length sprint of Bloomfield Road set Richard Marshall’s side on their way to a 37-0 demolition of Featherstone Rovers at the Summer Bash.

“This is the first time that I have enjoyed my rugby in years,” said Moore.

“We have a tight bond at Halifax and we all agreed that it was far from a successful season last time out.

“We are now focused more than ever on making sure the club gets back into the top four in 2017.”

Scrum half Robinson, who signed from Hull KR in 2015, has been working tirelessly to secure a starting position within the side.

He made 14 first team appearances last season and scored an impressive seven times.

He is hoping to hit the ground running next season and said: “I would have liked to been involved a lot more last year.

“Hopefully, now that I have signed a new contract, I can hit the ground running in pre-season and give the gaffer something to think.

“There are exciting times ahead at Halifax and I am very pleased to be a part of this club.”

BRILLIANT Aussie half-back Michael Hagan is returning to the Halifax club to be the special guest at a supporters’ evening at The Shay on November 16 (7.0).

Michael Hagan scored 125 points for ‘Fax in 92 appearances during two spells with the club in 1984/95 and from 1993 to 1995.
