Todmorden Agricultural Show results: Sheep

SHEEP
Sheep section secretary Margaret Wood reported a healthy 48 entries which was pleasing considering the current Blue Tongue restrictions.
Gritstones and Lonks were both represented but there were no Texels this year.

Results
C.Heyes cup for the best Lonk ewe with lamb, Brian Crawshaw; John Westall cup for the best Lonk sheep in show, Brian Crawshaw; best Gritstone lamb ram, Robert Fielden; best Gritstone group of three, Robert Fielden; best pair of females in the open class, Robert Fielden.
A Gritstone belonging to Robert Fielden was the best sheep in the show and also the champion sheep in show.
For the first time there were two entries in the under 25s section. This was won by Master Jackson with a male Lonk sheep.
