A PART of Calderdale separated for decades from the rest of Yorkshire when it comes to TV viewing has been united with its neighbours.
Todmorden residents were finally able to watch regional broadcasts from BBC Yorkshire from the start of the month.

Until then, the district received television bulletins from BBC's North West Tonight.

The BBC's head of region in Yorkshire, Helen Thomas, said she hoped viewers would welcome the change.

She said: "We are looking forward to broadcasting to this edge of Yorkshire."

I wonder why they bother?
Excepting some superb Dickens, Attenborough etc programmes, which can be obtained on DVD or whatever. I rate the BBC not. Perhaps they should become a Film Company and save us all a lot of money?

I have little or no interest in Halifax and would much prefer to have BBC Local news from Manchester - it can of course still be seen on Freesat 978 but why change ??
