STUDENTS are putting on a culture clash comedy.
The Year 10 pupils from Halifax High School have been working for eight months to prepare the play East is East.

The drama production is based on the original novel by Ayub Khan Din.
It was filmed in 1999 starring Om Puri, Jimi Mistry and Chris Bisson, and tells the story of the seven Khan children, who rebel against their father's strict rules and insistence they are all brought up as Muslims.

The 10 students will perform the 90-minute stage play today at 3.30pm, tomorrow at 10.45am and 7.30pm, on Wednesday at 7.30pm, and on Thursday at 7.30pm. All performances take place in the Great Hall at Wellesley Park.
