GRAND PRIZEThe grand prize offered by Calder Recordings, one of the best recording studios in the North, will consist of a full days recording session working with a world class engineer and producer. At the end of the session you will take away a professional quality demo CD that can be used to gain the attention of the industries top dogs!
Your day will include an introduction to the studio and the facilities on offer and a chat with the staff regarding the aims of the session. This is to ensure you get the very best out of the day and will ensure we produce the very best quality demo CD. You'll get ample time to run through a few songs to warm up, find your feet and, with help from the engineer, choose the ones that are best for the demo.
If you're a singer/songwriter and play an instrument eg. acoustic guitar, that's great! bring your instrument along and we'll help choose the best songs you have to go on the demo CD.
Our staff will work closely with you and from the recordings that are done, we will produce the demo CD.
If you've never been in a studio before, don't worry, you'll be in great hands and we'll help get the very best performance out of you!
