Halifax girl posts winning design for the Co-op’s anniversary

Young artist Holly Bates is feeling first class after winning a logo competition to mark the 150th anniversary of the Co-operative Group.

The Holy Trinity CofE Primary School student’s art work was chosen from over 3,000 entries in the design competition organised by the company.

The top ten were shortlisted into a book of commemorative postcards and Holly received £100 worth of art supplies as overall winner.

Last year marked the 150th anniversary of the Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS).
