Harveys of Halifax, Morton-Gledhill - The Fashion Team and the Courier’s My Week are looking for the face and figure of Calderdale
Girls, do you think you’ve got what it takes to become a model?
The drive and determination? The looks and the figure? The stamina and the confidence?
If you think you are all the above and are 15 or over, then Runway 2013 - a competition to find Calderdale’s next model - could be for you.
There are fabulous prizes to be won including a modelling course with Morton Gledhill - The Fashion Team; clothes vouchers from Harveys; hair styling and colouring from Ed’s hairdressers, flowers and oodles of publicity in the Courier.
We are inviting anyone interested in entering this free competition to have their picture taken at Harveys of Halifax, co-sponsors of the event. The only stipulation is that entrants must be 5ft 7in or over and come from within Calderdale.
Entrants must present themselves in Harveys cosmetics department on either Saturday February 9 or 16, any time between 10am and 4pm.
From those pictures a panel of judges including Bernadette Gledhill, owner of the Morton Gledhill agency and Tony Murray, general manager of Harveys of Halifax will choose 12 girls .
Their photographs will then feature in the Courier where readers will be asked to vote for their favourite six. The lucky ones will go through to a gala night at Harveys on March 13 and take part in a fashion show that will involve two changes of clothes, hair and make-up in front of an invited audience, where the winner will be crowned.
A number of lucky Courier readers will be invited too.
It is important when having their initial photograph taken, that any girl under 16 is accompanied by a relative, otherwise they may be disqualified.
Keep reading My Week for more details over the coming weeks. For information contact Harveys cosmetic department or better still drop in on Feb 9 or 16 .
