If you love food head for Halifax this weekend when the town centre will be taken over by more than 100 stalls selling food and drink.

This is the eighth Halifax festival bringing together the best of the region’s homegrown local produce along with a taste of Yorkshire and the rest of the world.

The event includes a live demonstration kitchen with local chefs and regional food producers showcasing professional talents and tricks in the kitchen.

Among those taking part are Cuisine 1893 at Calderdale College, Mark Parkinson, head chef of the Fleece Inn Pajaree Newlove of Pajarees Thai restaurant; Jamaican cuisine from West Midland Jerk Centre and Nigel Brown Cookery School.
