Last year’s Runway 2014 modelling competition was a resounding success.
There were stacks of entries and 17-year-old sixth former Isla Rowe was a worthy winner following a grand finale in March, 2013.
Now with the backing of Morton Gledhill The Fashion Team - the successful Calderdale and Kirklees modelling company, Harveys of Halifax and the Courier, Runway is back for a second year.
We would like to invite girls, aged 15 upwards at the time of entry, who are a minimum of 5ft 7in tall and think they have what it takes to become a model, to submit a full length photograph (100 kbs or larger) with a natural look on an email - closing date February 23 - to My.Week@halifaxcourier.co.uk
Each entrant will feature in My Week, when we will invite votes from readers, with the top 12 revealed in March.
On Monday, March 17 the semi-finalists will be invited to meet a panel of judges at Harveys of Halifax after which the entrants will be narrowed down to six.
They will then take part in a glitzy final, with full hair and make-up and several changes of clothes, on April 5, including a run through before the show.
“Runway proved its popularity last year so we are looking forward to the event being bigger and better this year,” said Bernadette Gledhill, of Morton Gledhill The Fashion Team.
The winner will be enrolled on an Introduction to Modelling course with Morton Gledhill, she will receive vouchers from Harveys and will have her own fashion photoshoot with a Courier photographer.
