Castle Carr Fountain is set to reach its full height of more than 100 feet at a specially organised event today. (Sunday)

Arranged by The Rotary Club of Halifax in conjunction with the owner of Castle Carr Estate Frank Schofield and Yorkshire Water, the sell-out event will start with a walk setting off from the Cat I’th Well Inn from noon.

The 2.5 mile stroll to the designated viewing areas will be followed by the fountain playing - hopefully in the scorching sunshine - at 2pm for around 15 minutes

And Afterwards at the Cat I’th Well a Hog Roast will be served up and live music will play at the charity fundraiser, which raises money for local charities and good causes.
