BAD times for waiters and bar staff in Yorkshire - we’ve come bottom of the league, making us the worst tippers in the country.
A national quiz found that while the Scots do not live up to their tight stereotypes, we Tykes do.
Of the 19 cities quizzed, Yorkshire folk in Leeds were found to be the worst tippers after leaving an average of just 5.76 per cent - which works out at less than a fiver on a meal for four costing £85.
Oxford, Brighton and Milton Keynes were the top three most generous tippers but even they fell short of the 10 per cent expected in the UK.
