Theatrical props and costumes will be up for grabs as Halifax based theatre company Northern Broadsides prepares for a clear out.
Furniture, props and paraphernalia from over 20 years of award-winning theatre productions will be up for grabs at the atmospheric underground setting of the Viaduct Theatre in Dean Clough, tomorrow.
Items will include costumes from their acclaimed production of Othello featuring Lenny Henry, dresses from School for Scandal, and jackets and a three piece suit from last year’s A Government Inspector, as well as the furniture featured in the company’s most recent production, Rutherford & Son.
On sale from 9.30am, the event will be offering the chance for people to pick up a piece of theatre memorabilia or a whole new wardrobe at a bargain price.
The project aims to be a sale like no other and all proceeds raised from the sale will go towards future Northern Broadsides productions due to funding cuts and will comply with the company’s environmental policy by recycling.
Organisers wish to stress that payment is by cash or cheque only.
