Teens setting off to university for the first time are being encouraged against living off baked beans, frozen pizzas and takeaways.

Instead The Cooking School in Dean Clough is offering a five day cooking bootcamp at the end of the summer holidays - the perfect time in which freshers can brush up on their cooking skills right before their first term begins.

Bootcampers will work under the guidance of professional chefs to develop the skills and techniques required to create a range of impressive dishes with state-of-the-art facilities at Dean Clough with five whole days of learning a range of different recipes and skills.

By the end of the course bootcampers will have mastered bread making, puddings and desserts as well as preparing and cooking meats, fish and shellfish, vegetarian cooking and knife skills. For more information head to www.thecookingschool.co.uk or phone 01422 383912.
