Intimate venue for next Doghouse gig

Hot on the heels of a sell out 10th birthday show, the Doghouse music promoters return with a trial series of three gigs at Bar Up, upstairs at Cookies in Halifax - the first of which takes place on April 17.

It’s a much smaller base than its regular Arden Road Social Club space.

As Michael Ainsworth of the Doghouse explains: “We are trialling the use of Bar Up because for some of our gigs a smaller and more intimate space will work better.

“It’s taking us back to the roots of the Doghouse when we used the Royal Oak, whereby the audience will be up close to the stage.

“If it works it will give us the flexibility to use Arden Road or Bar Up depending on the line-up.”

First up at Bar Up are Mowbird who will be supported by two bands from Hebden Bridge, The Tiny Minds and Stations.

Tickets £6/5adv from Revo /frequent doggers. JSA free entry.
