Ethan said: “It was brilliant!

“It was great to sit in between the instruments – a great idea and a really nice night.

“To be able to stand up and conduct one of the most famous orchestras in England made me feel really special. The conductor spotted me listening intently and signalled to me to come up to the podium. The next thing I knew, I was holding the baton and conducting the whole orchestra.”

The Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra were rehearsing for their forthcoming concert on Saturday November 8 at the Town Hall Huddersfield.

Elements of Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 (Unfinished) and Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel were performed at the informal event.
