We’re all dreaming of a White Christmas

It will be a real toe-tapper when Halifax Light Opera Society stages its next musical production at the Victoria Theatre in late November - and audiences will be able to singalong to the world’s most popular, popular song.

The society is staging Irving Berlin’s White Christmas from November 26 – 29, just in time to give everyone a festive glow.

The show is based on the film starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen.

It is a real coup for the society as the show travels around in turn at Christmas time to major centres and this year will also open in the West End.

The show was developed only a few years ago and it will be the first time it has been produced in West Yorkshire.

It features plenty of tap dancing and classic songs.

As well as the title song, other classics include ‘Sisters’, ‘Blue Skies’ and ‘I’ve Got My Love To Keep Me Warm’.
