Communities around Calderdale are preparing to remember the fallen this Remembrance Sunday.

Here’s a round-up of the Remembrance services that will be taking place across the borough.

Barkisland: Barkisland War Memorial on Saddleworth Road, at 12.15pm on Sunday 13 November - Service (Ripponden Parish Council)

Brighouse: St Martin’s Church on Church Lane, at 3pm on Sunday 13 November - Service and then wreath laying in Ryding Park

Bailiffe Bridge: Memorial Garden on Bradford Road, at 10.45am on Sunday 13 November- Service (starts at 11am) and wreath laying

Elland: Elland Cenotaph, Hullen Edge Park on Hullen Edge Road, at 9.30am-10.30am on Sunday 13 November - Elland Silver Band will lead the parade from Elland Police Station on Burley Street, service follows at St Mary’s Church on Church Street

Greetland: Greetland War Memorial, Clay House in West Vale, at 12.30pm on Sunday 13 November - Service

Lightcliffe: Lightcliffe War Memorial, The Stray on Wakefield Road, at 12.15pm on Sunday 13 November

Halifax: Halifax Cenotaph at Duffy’s Park (by Halifax Minster), at 10.45am on Sunday 13 November - Parade begins at Halifax Town Hall at 10.20am, after the Cenotaph service there will be a service of Remembrance at Halifax Minster

[Halifax Minster Service: Begins at 11.15am after the parade, the guest preacher will be The Bishop of Huddersfield, the Rt Rev Jonathan Gibbs]

Hebden Bridge: Memorial Gardens on New Road, at 10am on Sunday 13 November - Service will follow at St James’ Church at 10.45am

Heptonstall: St Thomas’ Church on Church Street, at 10.30am on Sunday 13 November - Service

Illingworth and Bradshaw: St John’s Church, Bradshaw at 9.45am on Sunday 13 November - Wreath laying follows at 11am

Luddenden Foot: Holmes Park War Memorial, on Station Road, at 2pm on Sunday 13 November

Mytholmroyd: Elphaborough Close on Cragg Road, at 2.15pm on Sunday 13 November - Procession to Memorial Gardens

Northowram: St Matthew’s Church on Back Clough, at 10.30am on Sunday 13 November - Service followed by wreath laying at 11am

Ovenden: St George’s Church at Lee Mount, at 10am on Sunday 13 November - Service and wreath laying

Rastrick: St Matthew’s Church, on Church Street, at 10am on Sunday 13 November - Service and wreath laying

Ripponden: Ripponden War Memorial, on Oldham Road, at 10.10am on Sunday 13 November - Service (Ripponden Parish Council)

Queensbury: Queensbury War Memorial, Village Centre on High Street, at 11am on Sunday 13 November - Parade beforehand, silence led by Queensbury Scout Band, parade sets off again to Holy Trinity Church for a Remembrance service
