Hebden Bridge Little Theatre are on the right track with their December production - the children’s classic ‘The Railway Children’ by E.Nesbit.
Adapted for the stage, the show has presented the theatre group’s set designers with a formidable challenge. Familiar to many from the popular film starring Jenny Agutter and Bernard Cribbens, ‘The Railway Children’ tells the story of Roberta, Phyllis and Peter and their efforts to free their innocent father from jail. The adults are played by Gilly Walker, Hannah Stow, Vaughan Leslie and Mark Hill and there are two casts of children taking to the stage on different nights.
Director Jenny Gore said: “It has taken some imagination to get a train on our small stage but we hope to send audiences home with a seasonal glow inside.”

The play is at Hebden Bridge Little Theatre from December 1 to 6 at 7.30pm plus matinees. Call 01422 843907.
