Two amateur theatrical societies in West Yorkshire have joined forces to present the classic thriller ‘The Ghost Train’ next week.

St Matthews Theatrical Society in Rastrick and Phoenix Players of Batley are staging Arnold Ridley’s play at Rastrick Parish Centre on Wednesday, July 30, Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2.

Iain Bedson, chairman of St Matthew’s Theatrical Society, said: “The play ‘The Ghost Train’ is a great choice with humour and drama and a large cast which includes members from both groups, together with some new faces.”

The story surrounds a group of travellers stranded at a bleak railway station in Cornwall, where there are plenty of mysterious happenings. To book call 01484 314587.
