Members of Halifax Gilbert & Sullivan Society were certainly having fun and games in Halifax town centre, when giving out flyers and promoting their production of the comic-opera Iolanthe, which starts this coming Tuesday, at Halifax Playhouse.
This is Gilbert & Sullivan at their prime bringing a musical and comical battle of the sexes to The House of Lords, when a band of militant fairies takes over from the dim-witted elite who supposedly run the land!
