The work of three Yorkshire film-makers will get a special screening as part of Halifax Film Society’s Short Films Night on Sunday, November 30 at 7.30pm.
Film directors James Mellor, Francis Lee and Paul Robinson will attend the screening of five films and take part in a question and answer session with members of the audience.Soyland-born director Francis Lee has acted in ‘Heartbeat’, ‘Casualty’ and ‘A Touch of Frost’ and is currently working on the feature film ‘God’s Own Country’.
His films ‘Bradford-Halifax-London’ and ‘The Farmer’s Wife’ will be screened at the Playhouse.
James Mellor, whose film ‘Wheeling Dealing’ will be shown, has worked with Jane Horrocks and was assistant director on ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’.
Paul Robinson will show ‘The Argument’ and ‘Fanatic’, which has won several awards. He worked on Kay Mellor’s TV drama ‘the Syndicate’ and produced his Yorkshire Project of Photographs.
