Help me find a drawing for my book, says author
A CALDERDALE author is holding an art competition to find an illustrator for her latest book.
Children under 12 are invited to submit illustrations for Nidae's Promise, an adventure story about a swallow, by Jill Hopkins.
The book will be published as a paperback edition in the autumn, and the publisher would like to include an illustration from a young reader.
Publisher Seven Arches hopes the competition will spark children's interest in swallows, so they can identify them on walks in the countryside, in books or on the internet.
The winning artist will receive a prize of £25 and runners-up will each receive a £10 book token.
