A POLAR bear has made Halifax its home for the winter and is showing youngsters a roaring good time.
The bear, called Nanuq, is the new exhibit at Eureka museum where it appears on a touch-screen computer programme showing users how to fight climate change.

First visitors were youngsters from St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Halifax, and the reception was anything but frosty.

Nina Rogers, Eureka spokeswoman, said: "The programme recommends how to make little changes in life that make a big difference and the children had a great time playing around on it.

"We're all very happy to have Nanuq here."

The exhibit is part of the main exhibition and will be up permanently.
