The organ at Halifax Minster was built in 1763 by John Snetzler and installed three years later.

It was enlarged several times in the 19th and 20th centuries and completely rebuilt in 1928 by Harrison and Harrison of Durham.

Leeds city organist Simon Lindley has described it as ‘the Rolls Royce of organs’.

Tickets at £10 are available from the Minster shop or tel: 01422 355436 .
