Concert raises the roof - and raises hope

Musicians and singers will be raising the roof - and raising hope - at a special charity concert at King’s Church, Halifax, on Friday, December 11 at 7.30pm.

The proceeds from the concert will go to Hope Reclaimed, a charity run by Cath Binns and Angus MacGregor which works with adults and children who are homeless, vulnerable and marginalised.

Working from the Gathering Place in Halifax town centre, guests of Hope Reclaimed collaborate with Cath and Angus on creative projects to re-build self-esteem.

They are encouraged in a nurturing environment to write and record songs and work with art specialist Jane Stott to create artwork which will be on sale at the concert.

Taking part will be Halifax Concert Band, Bolton Brow Academy Choir, and a specially formed Christmas Community Choir whose members are of all ages and come from sections of the community.

Tickets are £7, £5 and £4 for children under 12 and are available from The Gathering Place, St James’s Road, Halifax, King’s Church or online at www.cathandangusmusic
