Hebden Bridge Picture House set to re-open this month

The 500 plus seat cinema will reopen with a reduced seating capacity of 25 per cent on a reduced schedule of eight to 10 screenings per week, with two metre distanced seating and online advanced booking only.

A number of measures have been rolled out to ensure social distancing can be adhered to within the building as Picture House Manager Rebekah Fozard said: “We are taking a safety-first approach in reopening our much-loved community cinema, and are working hard to provide a safe, clean and enjoyable experience for our customers and staff.

"Our online booking system ensures households, solo visitors and those in a social bubble can book in ‘blocks’ with a two-metre distance between seating blocks in all directions.

"Other safety measures include hand sanitiser stations at key points such as entrances and exits, and enhanced cleaning of the auditorium between screenings, which also has a new ventilation system to provide even more comfort and safety.

“Ahead of our reopening we’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their support and kindness throughout our closure. We are excited to welcome you back to our fantastic venue, and for us all to experience film on the big screen, where it belongs!”

Tickets will soon be available for a variety of winter specials including films / live arts screenings including IDIOT PRAYER: Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace and National Theatre Live’s Present Laughter, King Lear, Fleabag, Coriolanus and more.

Opening weekend tickets will be announced when the film programme is finalised.
