The historic Halifax hall was the setting for the first series of the TV drama which followed the life of 19th century diarist Anne Lister.

Created by Calderdale writer and director Sally Wainwright, the BBC/HBO series followed the landowner and diarist as she pursued a courtship with Ann Walker.

The first series of the drama was a big hit with viewers, attracting millions of viewers each week.

Filming was due to take place for the second series earlier this year but due to Covid-19 it was put on hold.

Preparation is due to take place for a few weeks before filming is set to begin and the hall will be closed for the duration of filming,
