The BBC and HBO period drama is set in Halifax in the early 19th century and follows the life of diarist and landowner Anne Lister.

The series was filmed at Shibden Hall along with a number of other locations in Calderdale and attracted an audience of around five million viewers each week.

The series is up against Normal People, White House Farm and Gangs of London.

This announcement comes one month after the drama, written by Sally Wainwright, was nominated for two Baftas, best drama and best actress.
