Last Tango In Halifax filming in Calderdale

BAFTA award winning drama Last Tango in Halifax has begun filming its second series right here in Halifax.

The popular TV show which has won millions of fans, stars Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid.

A fleet of lorries, sound trucks and technical lighting took over Princess Street in Halifax town centre for the filming.

The production crew took over the Monte Carlo cafe on the street for a set of scene shots for the latest series.

It was written by Sally Wainwright, based loosely on her own mother’s experience of finding lost love, and the new series will air later this year on BBC One.
