‘Little helpers’ on board for festive fun

This Saturday you can sample locally made liqueurs, cheese, Christmas cakes and puddings and the now-famous Medici Macarons. A Christmas Café will be open with hands-on activities for children and adults alike.

The local food, arts and crafts shop has a fantastic range of festive fare from free-range turkeys and all the pork-based trimmings, all raised on site. There are Pextenement Cheeses from Eastwood, liqueurs from Luddenden Valley Wines, Blackshaw Head’s very own Bridestones Beer and locally made preserves, Christmas cakes and puddings.

Sally Stansfield, farm owner and meat producer at Staups Lea Farm, said: “Almost everything we sell comes from within a 10-mile radius of the shop, including a fantastic range of arts and crafts. People have already been buying to make local food hampers as Christmas presents.”

Leather and willow ware, beautiful textiles from cushions to children’s bean bag kits are on offer, plus cards and decorations.
