New film gets local premiere

Five Pillars tells the story of a former soldier returning from the war in Afghanistan in an interweaving story of liberty, identity, tolerance, responsibility and class.

Adam, 24, from Clare Mount, said: “It’s nice that the première is happening so close to where I live and I’ve got my friends and family coming along.

“The feedback we’ve had so far has been really good and someone from a test audience of it actually commented on my performance specifically which was really nice to hear.

“It’s already been screened at a festival in Poland but we’re hoping the première here will bring in some distributors and might help sell the film to them.”

The première starts at 5.30pm on December 14 at the Hebden Bridge Picture House. Tickets cost £7 and are available at www.wegottickets.com.
