Nothing Grimm aboutclassic ballet for kids

Following the sell-out success of its previous children’s ballets, Northern Ballet returns to Bradford with ‘Elves and the Shoemaker’.

Created specially for young audiences, the show is an enchanting adaptation of the famous Brothers Grimm story and was adapted for TV by CBeebies.

The heart-warming production has live music by composer Philip Feeney and choreography by Daniel de Andrade. He said: “Our children’s ballets are classic tales beautifully re-told through dance - and are a perfect introduction to ballet. We hope to inspire children and their families through these entertaining performances.”

‘Elves and the Shoemaker’ will be on Friday, November 20 at noon and 2pm. Tel: 01274 432000.

Northern Ballet will also perform ‘Wuthering Heights’ at the Alhambra from November 17 to 21.
