Return visit for Stephen

Organist Stephen Austin makes a return visit to the Rex cinema, Elland, for the concert on Sunday September 20 at 2.30pm. On leaving school Stephen was appointed assistant to the Musical Director of the Hammond Organ Company and arranged concerts and promotions for the network of “Hammond Organ Societies”. He later moved to their piano and organ showroom in London and became their first “in house” teacher. During this time he took theatre organ lessons from John Stewart at the Gaumont State Cinema, Kilburn, North London. In 1974, Stephen moved to Blackpool and opened the “Camera & Organ Centre” in partnership with John Nunns. Admission is £5 for everybody and includes entry in a raffle.
