Swing along to Delvers for Sarah and all that jazz
Sarah Day and the Night Stars are on a mission to bring live Jazz and Swing to Halifax. The band has already built up a good following at its ‘first Wednesday of the month’ sessions at The Delvers, Wainstalls.
The sessions have been running since April and have grown in popularity. Sarah Day and the Night Stars open the set with well-known standards from the American Song Book while in the second set visiting musicians are welcome to join in an open mic session. The Night Stars are fronted by jazz singer and flautist Sarah Day, with Peter Ellis on drums, Charles Zca on keyboards, Trevor Prinn on bass and, on alto sax, Steve Langdon.
