Big Shot Lea plays it for laughs at Brighouse cafe

Former rugby player Lea Roberts brings his mix of traditional northern humour to Big Shots café in Brighouse on April 14 (not April 9 as published in last week's Echo).

The comedian, who rose to fame after winning the ITV1 show Stand Up Britain in 2002, traded in his rugby background for a microphone and a whole new career on stage.

There are just 40 places available for the intimate event and fans of Halifax born Lea have the opportunity to buy tickets directly from the café on Thornhill Beck Lane for £14 each.

“Lea will bring high spirits to our unique venue, which lends itself perfectly to such intimate gigs,” said Stefanie Hopkins of Big Shots.
